Product Description

INCI: Elaesis Oleifera Kernal Oil.  Batana oil has a long tradition of use by the Miskito people of Honduras. The oil is extracted from the nut of a palm native to the Americas and is completely different from the better known African (Red) palm. Batana oil has the reputation for promoting thick hair growth and is effective in repairing damaged hair.

Our batana oil is quite unique in that unlike batana extracted in the traditional way, our oil has never been subjected to extremely high temperatures for extended periods of time which destroys the most useful bio-actives. Another benefit of our cold pressing technique for batana oil is it’s lack of the smoky odor commonly associated with traditionally extracted oil.

  1. Well Pleased

Posted by Troy on 2nd Jun 2017

I have to say that I am well pleased wih using the Batana oil. I have Loc's(Dreads) and while using the oil my scalp and loc's stays well moisturized and a little goes a long way. So don't over do it or it could lead to build up like any other products used on Loc's(Dreads). The smell I would have to describe as an earthy, nutty, pine scent. Not too strong but fades after using it also no burnt smell at all. The texture of the oil is solid but at hand contact/ body heat becomes soft. Overall I would recommend for many hair textures. I'm very pleased with the oil also they gave me a free oil sample of a different type of oil so that's a plus as well. Thanks and Peace.

I have tried other batana oils that claim to be authentic and although this does not have the dark chocolate/coffee look and/or smell it works great for my hair. I use it as a pre treatment before I clarify and it has changed my hair for the better. Loves it..
